This mod displays information on the loading screen and adds new options: Load used assets: automatically loads the assets that are used in your city, no matter if they are enabled or not. Share textures / materials / meshes: Assets from the same author often contain the same resources but the game does not care and loads identical copies.
Severity: Crash - You do not have enough RAM to run the game. The game needs minimum of 8GB RAM, despite what the requirements page says, and ideally 16GB or more if you use DLCs or Workshop content. Most operating systems can also use disk as 'temporary' (but really slow) RAM using a "swap file" or "page file" - increasing the size of your swap/page file will usually get the game running again.
Cities : Skylines . All Discussions ... Then go to Options, find the Loading Screen Mod on the left and enable all the Safe Mode options for it. Then try loading your save. #1. blaizefed ... Can you post another log from an attempt to load with all the mods and the Safe Mode options enabled? It might not give any clues, but worth a look at least.

Since the Parklife DLC I get the 7/8-ish blue screen after loading my savegame ( Loading Screen Mod : "Simulation failed. Object reference not set to..." ) I've already unsubscribed from a lot of mods , after comparing my list with the one from AquilaSol&Avanya, but without success :-(A very old savegame works, as well as creating a new city.
Hello community, I only want to raise awareness to the fact that you can use the Loading Screen Mod to skip prefabs (Buildings, Vehicles and Props). You will need to read the instructions carefully, but if you do everything right, besides saving a lot of memory, you can stop the game from loading vanilla assets you don't want or won't use ...
Currently only have about 90 mods installed, and 32GB of Ram, so unsure what the issue is. I also have the 'Loading Screen Mod' installed, though it has not decreased my load times, and apart from it saying it can't load a number of assets, I'm unsure how to understand it to figure out what's taking it so long.
Pro-tip: in the mod settings (Options panel), be sure that the 3 options "Share textures/materials/meshes" are enabled.By doing so, assets that use the same 3D models, textures or materials will only be loaded once into memory, instead of a separate copies for each asset.
Holy shit I just installed this thinking it would be a small improvement on the previous version of this mod , but this is just as impressive as when this mod first came out. Original mod brought loading time from 15mins to 7mins, this one just brought me from 7 minutes to 2 minutes. Fucking stellar work.
I added the 'Loading Screen' mod and I am seeing a lot of (red) missing assets and props. Is there a method to auto add missing assets & props? Or, is there a means I can export the list to manually add. I assume having missing assets causes the game to load longer.
